Log processing is well underway in fact some of our timber was split into billets at the start of February 2022. All our logs are cut and split into billets at 1 metre long and stacked in piles. These piles act as radiators allowing the wind to pass through the stacks constantly drying the timber to an average 17% moisture content or less.
The lower the moisture content of a log, the less it weighs and the better it burns.
Be careful if you buy by weight that you’re not buying water, not wood.
We sell our logs by the cubic metre bag, not a builder’s bag which is designed to hold a ton of builders material, the most common size can hold about 0.7 cubic metres of logs which, being less dense than sand or gravel, will weigh considerably less than a ton.
Our bags are vented allowing the air to circulate whilst the logs are in them.
None of our logs is force dried thus keeping our carbon footprint down.
We have kept our log prices the same for the last 3 years but due to the increase in fuel, timber and bags we are having to increase our price of a 1 cubic metre bag of logs to £120.00 inc. of VAT and delivery.
We aim to deliver the logs as soon as possible after your order is taken, normally the following week.
We value your custom and look forward to being of service to you in the coming months.
